Top Russian Official Calls Republican Senators ‘Monsters of the Cold War’
Dmitry Rogozin, ambassador from Russia to Nato, met yesterday with Senators Jon Kyl (R-AZ) and Mark Kirk (R-IL). Being less inclined to beat around the bush than, say the American media, he told Russian journalists after the meeting that he believed US-Russia relations would collapse if the Republicans ever came to power.
Just in case this wasn’t clear, he went on, “Today, I had the impression that I was transported in a time machine back several decades, and in front of me sat two monsters of the Cold War, who looked at me not through pupils, but targeting sights.”
You are so right, Mr. Rogozin! All congressional Republicans have probably been transported into our world by a time machine connected straight back to the 1950s. It’s what we’ve all been suspecting.
