IMAGINE THAT! "Disgraced former Speaker of the House Newt "How many wives YOU got, loudmouth?" Gingrich, voice of civility and self aggrandizing lackey for all things money today said this; "Look. I gots lotsa Tweeter accounts Twittering me. I'm somebody!" His wife just nodded knowingly. "Yes. He is. Yes. Uh huh."

Almost everyone who has looked into this story thinks its garbage. It's actually not that easy to create fake Twitter accounts and, if you look at a random sample of Gingrich's followers, most of them are quite clearly not fake.

That having been said, who gives a rat's backside about how many twitter followers this twit has? Ashton Kutcher has 9 million. I'm still not voting for him.

Gawker updated their story. Seems that "only" 92% of his followers are fake. I stand corrected.
