This may turn out to be a pr nightmare for the new comedy movie 30 Minutes Or Less, which already looks like it’s in poor taste since it’s inspired by a real life incident in which a man was killed.

Synopsis:

After hiring an assassin to murder his father (Fred Ward) for his insurance money, Dwayne (Danny McBride), and goofball partner-in-crime, Travis (Nick Swardson), kidnap a pizza delivery boy named Nick (Jesse Eisenberg) and force him to rob a bank while wearing a bomb vest attached to a 10-hour timer, therefore he recieves help in the robbery from his best friend, Chet (Aziz Ansari).

Schoolgirl rescued from ‘collar bomb’

POLICE have secured the release of a Sydney schoolgirl who spent 10 hours strapped to an explosive device.

A police spokesman said this morning that the conclusion to the 18-year-old’s ordeal came at the end of a massive emergency operation involving ambulances, rescue teams and bomb squad officers who sealed off Burrawong Avenue at Mosman on Sydney’s elegant north shore in the early afternoon after Madeleine Pulver rang police.

Late in the evening, four police officers were in the room towards the front of the house with the teenager, examining what they described as a suspicious device, as her distraught parents waited outside. Police last night said during the ordeal the parents had not been allowed to speak with their daughter. The house where the drama unfolded is owned by the Pulver family and the teenager’s father is the high-profile business executive William Pulver.

Commander Mark Murdoch from the Central Metropolitan Region command said the device was “a tough nut to crack”.

Although police were releasing few details, there were reports a man wearing a balaclava broke into the house at 2pm, strapped a device he claimed was a bomb to the woman’s neck or wrist and, according to some reports, left a ransom note before fleeing. Police were alerted to the situation at around 2.30pm.
