Apparently some of the folks from the film are on Facebook. This blog has a bit of follow-up and links

The American Taliban has come out from below ground to thrive in today’s political climate. That includes its shirttail relatives, like the Jesus Camp peeps.

They should cheer J.K. Rowling, not curse her. Her books are about a boy becoming a proper man, about courage, and the proper way to approach life and death. They should put aside concerns of “wizardry” and see the truth behind the fiction.

HP is awash in Christian symbolism. Not quite like Narnia, but very much so.

(The Catholic Church does not ordain women.) Not too many years ago fundamentalist Protestants were saying that women were ineligible to be ministers; afaik many or most still do. So my eyebrows rose at reading ‘uncompromising pastor Becky Fisher’.

I gather that some people who insist on Biblical truth have themselves moved beyond the Bible because they sense God talking directly to them.

Note to these new apostles: if somebody is talking directly to you, it isn’t necessarily God.

Not to mention they’ve gotten millions of readers. The Harry Potter series isn’t my cup of tea but Rowling has gotten a large amount of people in to reading and I will always respect those books for that.
