“(I’m also excited to try some of that famous fried butter-on-a-stick, fried cheesecake-on-a-stick, fried twinkies, etc. I’ll enjoy them in honor of those who’d rather make us just “eat our peas”!)”

Seriously?

I can’t tell what’s snark anymore.

Also, too, Hey, Look At Me!

Palin is starting to seem like someone who doesn’t have any friends and always wants to tag along with the cool kids.

Is she going to buy a present for her newest grandchild, the one born to son Track after three months of marriage (not the one born out of wedlock to well compensated abstinence crusader Bristol Palin)?

If the foregoing seems harsh: afaic, the more that a politician uses their family as a prop, the more they make that family a legitimate target for scrutiny. That goes especially for politicians with a family-values shtick.

It would be nice if all media decided to completely ignore her, have no reporters or cameras show up to her stops. Oh, that would be wonderful.

I know Sully is convinced Palin is running, but her poll numbers, even from Fox, aren’t very good.

This includes seeking affordable participation in more community events, local patriotic parades, and traditional all-American venues like state fairs.

Try Palin’s new drug “Folksy.” Once only in bolus form, now available as an injectable. Special discounts for anyone in the Heartland™ zip codes.

Run or get off the pot, Sarah.

7 CuriousLurker  Thu, Aug 11, 2011 10:36:37am

Always with the snark, this…*ahem* woman.

Can you imagine being married to her and having to endure the barbs every time she gets in a snit over some little thing? That fingernails-on-a-chalkboard nasal voice of hers makes it 1000x worse.

And her kids, OMG. Mothers are freaking experts at making little comments that draw blood, and this woman is like the poster girl, the grand master, the super ninja of that “art”. Ugh.

I don’t think she’ll run. This is just a “Look at me! Look at me!” distraction.

As you’ll recall, Palin temporarily suspended her Moronic Mystery Tour in June to serve jury duty

Question: Did she actually have jury duty? You think that would have happened without the media being all over it? Not adding up to me

I think you’re absolutely right. I think she knows that if she runs, she’ll find out that it’s not only the mean old liberals who can’t stand her and will sling mud at her.

And she strikes me as someone who really, really hates to lose. A primary process with even the potential for nominating someone else would be awfully risky for that. Still, she obviously wants something, in addition to attention.

Yes, she wants everyone at the Straw poll to write in her name without having to do any work like campaigning.

I couldn’t figure out if that e-mail was really from Palin or if the whole thing was satire and Summer wrote it!
Is she actually advocating people eat fried butter over peas? I don’t think it is right to tell people what they can and can’t eat, but there are a lot of people out there who trust and listen to her but have serious health issues who can die from eating stuff like that. All this “Don’t listen to the food police or evil liberal medical schools” crap is going to hurt people. How irresponsible and immature is that? How is that being more ‘American’?

It is nearly impossible to distinguish snark from reality with these people.

Caribou Barbie needs a one-way ticket to some remote corner of the planet that doesn’t have access to the Internet, television, or any kind of media.

No, she was let go due to a medical condition. Both lawyers read some of her tweets and agreed to excuse on the grounds that she had no idea what reality actually is.

LOL!

Moronic Mystery Tour

She’s just in it for the money & the attention. IMHO.

Edited for clarity:

We are very happy to [randomly] jump back on the bus for another leg of our “One Nation Tour”! We accept with gratefulness an invitation to meet folks at the Iowa State Fair in Des Moines this week[, which we assume is in the mail]. The heartland is perfect territory for more of the One Nation Tour[, because it’s a way better part of our nation than some of those other parts that are practically like other countries], as we put forth efforts to revitalize the fundamental restoration of America by highlighting our nation’s heart, history, and founding principles. [We’ll have to focus mainly on the heart part because it turns out Iowa wasn’t even part of the US when the country was founded.]

In a grossly weakened economy - especially when recovery is thwarted by today’s Obamanomics - prudent Americans make sensible decisions to live within their means. [Like riding around in a chartered coach with their massive name plastered across the side.] This includes seeking affordable participation in more community events [like coming down from Alaska to attend the Iowa state fair], local patriotic parades [which no one ever attends during boom times], and traditional all-American venues like state fairs [which are all-American because there are so few US states outside of America]. State fairs hold a special place in our nation’s history and heritage, [can’t think of any great historical events involving state fairs, but I’m sure there must be] so my family is honored to highlight one of them on one stop along the One Nation Tour route - America’s historic Iowa State Fair! (I’m also excited to try some of that famous fried butter-on-a-stick, fried cheesecake-on-a-stick, fried twinkies, etc. I’ll enjoy them in honor of those who’d rather make us just “eat our peas”! [Death to America! But I mean that in the patriotic sense of encouraging Americans to engorge themselves on fried butter and avoiding vegetables at all costs!] )
