NASA doesn't have studies about aliens? Why not?

If the Pentagon has every-possible-case plans, why doesn't NASA?

What have you been doing with my tax monies?

If my only form of diversion was downing brewskies with my "bros" and making donuts in a lifted truck on giant-sized tires, I would be pretty outraged too.

But that's not the case, I have a functioning brain and I find applying concepts of science fiction to real life really intriguing. I love shows speculating the demise of our civilization, since they are all rooted in possibilities that science says could theoretically happen.

When someone's "science" and understanding is limited to the Book of Genesis, don't expect to make any inroads with them, on ANYTHING.

Its unnecessary. "warp drive" is science fiction. Nothing can go faster than light, thus interstellar space travel is effectively impossible. Its possible SETI might detect signals from aliens, but we'll never meet them face-to-face.

I would be willing to bet there are large numbers of men who will refuse to believe that there is no possibility that 7 of 9 is ever landing on their doorstep.

Just a hunch.

I'd settle for Caprica 6.

Warp drive may be science fiction, that does not mean interstellar travel is impossible. Improbable for humans maybe, but no reason machines can't do it. Large timescales aren't really an issue for them.

Also, we are little more than a hundred years from horse and buggies, I'm not prepared to say in 1000 more we won't have figured something out.
