Fischer wouldn’t know actual science if it bit him on the ass.

And I was right about Fischer:

But, sadly for Darwinians, after 150 years of digging in dirt all around the world, there are still no transitional fossils at all, not one! The most famous paleontologist in the world, Harvard’s Stephen Jay Gould, said, “The extreme rarity of transitional forms in the fossil record persists as the trade secret of paleontology.” (Note” “extreme rarity” is Harvard-speak for “nada, zilch, zippo.”)

So the transitional fossils shown at Chicago’s Field Museum don’t exist? I’ve seen them three times this year, so I’m pretty sure I wasn’t hallucinating when I saw them. Fischer counts on an ignorant audience to run this crap.

Even sadder, his entire article is Creationism with the training wheels still on. Every single point he makes is one of many ancient (well, Internet-ancient) half-assed canards that are Internet fossils themselves and which I suspect even the Discovery Institute find embarrassing.

Obligatory handy link.

re: #2 Dark_Falcon

That’s one of the ones that irritates me to no end.

Every single fossil is a transitional fossil.

Next time I can get it on planning a bar mitzvah somewhere in my extended family, I’m going to push to hire this guy to provide the entertainment.

And then not pay him.

All we needed was a witch doctor to show us the way! Thanks Bryan! Did you read that in the goat entrails, or was it tossing bones?

No one “random collision of atoms” can be said to be truer than another, any more than one randomly generated Rorschach ink blot can be said to be more correct than another.

Maybe so, but I’ll try my random collision of atoms against his at chess and we’ll just see if there’s any such thing as right move or wrong move.

Or he can try randomly driving on the “wrong” side of the road and see if it gets him a Darwin award or not. My guess is, it will. If nothing else, “right” decisions are decisions that lead to life. And, guess what: evolution has designed brains to get a lot of decisions right. Constantly we walk through doorways instead of into walls. It’s unbelievable!

According to his AFA bio, Fischer’s a Stanford grad. So the question is, is he a) the son of a wealthy Stanford alum or b) just playing dumb?
