White Supremacist Neo Nazi group plans protest of State Fair attacks
The standard hate groups that people have known and reviled for decades are all rebranding, and changing their terminology this century. They haven’t really changed themselves or their hate a bit, they are just disguising who they are and what their real mission is so they can sucker another generation.
Reporters should not accept new tribal nationalist memes, terminology, or their recrafted catechisms of victimhood uncritically, and they should not just regurgitate the hate in neutral voice.
Think about it all of three seconds - if the protestors in the story below were really “white separatists” wouldn’t they just separate themselves, move to a reservation, enclave, commune, or whatever rather than seek confrontation at the Fair?
So journalists: your racist BS detector should start pinging when you hear the new century versions of hate. Here are just a few:
We aren’t ____ nationalists, we are just protecting the ____ people/tribe/religion/culture/tradition.
We aren’t racists, we are “racialists”.
We don’t hate, we want everyone to have their own homelands.
_____s are victims too!
It’s not about hate, it’s about ____ pride.
We aren’t supremacists or haters we are _____ separatists.
on to the actual story that kicked off this rant:
The National Socialist Movement plans to hold a rally at West Allis City Hall on September 3rd. They say they are not a hate group, but a separatist movement advocating for white victims.
The Anti-Defamation League says the National Socialist Movement is the largest neo-Nazi group in the United States.
The victims being protested for include the people attacked in the State Fair opening day incident. Police say the attackers from a number of incidents were black and the victims were white.
