You do know better, right? You can’t seriously be saying that the Tea Party, collectively, wants poverty rates to rise across the board.

It would be more fair to say that this graph, which has unfolded across 34 years, with democrats in charge, then republicans, then democrats, then republicans, then democrats, is not the fault of any one party, and that the rise in the number of Hispanic children living in poverty may have been partly driven by a rise in the number of Hispanic children.
