I'd ask if the person is registered to vote, if he/she voted in the last election.

Would you support higher taxes on yourself if you were comfortably making ends meet?.

Should the Government actively control the means of goods and raw material production?

In the banking crisis do you recognise the distinction between illegal and immoral behaviour?

Who are your political heroes?

5 - for Truthers - Are you aware that Alex Jones thinks that OWS is part of the globalist conspiracy? [hat tip to 000G]

6 - What are your thoughts on the Federal Reserve?
Note: I'm not sure how many "End The Fed" people there are. I did meet a passing tourist that did mention that "if you end the fed, who'll stop the banks?" though, so that's a good sign.

-How did you hear about this protest?

-What has to happen before you go home?

-How long have you been here/ when to you come to the protests?

-Are you trying to talk to the 99% or the 1%?

What changes would be priorities for this country? How would they be implemented?

I second "do you vote?"

- Do you feel that money should be treated as speech?
- Do you feel that corporations should continue to have the rights of a human citizen?
- Do you support publicly funded elections?

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll do what I can, but the more I ask, the fewer people I can ask.

Put up a poll of the best questions from this thread, and then choose the winners to narrow it down.

1. Will you please stop it with the fucking bongos?
2. Why don't you heed this exceptionally good advice?
3. Y U NO ADEQUATELY CYNICAL?

Y U NO ADEQUATELY CYNICAL?

..about yourself, I mean.

I'm going to catch some flack for this one, but I'm going to go with "Why so socialist?"

1. Do you feel that these protests have a coherent message, and if so, what is it?

2. Do you know who Adbusters are?

3. Do you know who ANSWER are?

4. Do you identify as a Democrat, Independent, or something else?

I'd add Firstinla's 5: "Are you registered to vote?"

and Bishop X's 6: "How did you hear about this protest?"

Really good idea, BTW!

He actually changed his tune now. The new Infowars narrative is that there's actually a lot of good people with actual grievances there but they are hijacked or about to be hijacked by Obama/Soros etc. so now the mission is for Alex Jones to hijack them into the Occupy the Fed thing.

That's actually a good question.

Well, I'll give you flack because it's not a real question. If you want me to ask them "do you consider yourselves socialist?" sure. I'd then want to ask them to define socialism, though.

I don't like polls. Which is why I'm doing a poll.

Seriously, I'd need to be able to set up a more complex poll than I can here in order to properly determine which questions are the most popular.

Or just use your judgement.

Seconded, I think most of the questions are good, put you don't need to ask everyone all the questions to get some idea of what's going on.

"What is the most reasonable political change that you personally would like to see happen in the near future?"
