theheat’s Halloween Movie List
This is a small section of my horror library just right to pull off the shelves for Halloween. I’ve ordered them by category, then by year (since there are so many remakes). If you’re wondering what might make a good DVD to pop in, take a look here.
This is by no means a complete list, but I think it’s a pretty darned bulletproof list. I have been watching horror movies since I was old enough to walk, so I’ve seen - uh - more than a few. Let’s say a lot. Gobs. Tons. Should’a been getting paid for it.
No torture prOn here - no SAW or Hostel or Human Centipede - but genuine classics I think everyone should watch, some fun cheesy B movies that shouldn’t offend anyone, some genuinely creepy creepy movies that will stick with you after you watch them, and some oddball stuff that’s entertaining. Maybe some familiar stuff, and maybe some stuff you’ve never watched or heard of, but it’s all good.
October is my month, and this is what I do. I hope you enjoy it as much as I.
