Five arrested in break-in at old San Antonio courthouse
I hope this is nothing…
SAN ANTONIO - The old Bexar County Courthouse was buzzing with FBI agents and a bomb squad after two men were found inside the building early Wednesday morning.
Investigators said two men allegedly climbed a fire escape to the downtown courthouse and entered an unlocked door on the fourth floor around 2 a.m. The men told police they were visiting from out of town, trying to get a tour of the city.
Police said another suspect was found in an RV parked outside the courthouse. All three were arrested for burglary. Two other suspects were detained for questioning.
Investigators said the men spoke French and had Moroccan passports.
Investigators said other documentation found inside the RV showed the suspects have done extensive traveling to high-level security facilities around the country.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and local law enforcement were called to the courthouse overnight.
