Reminds me of about a year ago when Glenn Beck was hyperventilating about the Cloward-Piven strategy. Except now his group seems to be supporting some mutant version of it.

Reminds me of how Nazis excluded Jews from the economic system in Germany.

Yeah. I godwinned myself. So what?

Based on the "I'm on strike!" part of it, I can't help but imagine somebody wrote this after a drunken viewing of the Atlas Shrugged movie.

Based on the "I'm on strike!" part of it, I can't help but imagine somebody wrote this after a drunken viewing of the Atlas Shrugged movie.

If it was a referenced to "Atlas Shrugged" the book it would be accompanied by a rambling manifesto about makers/takers, producers/parasites, those with the intelligence and drive to create/those lacking the intelligence to do anything but attempt to live off the efforts of others, and it would go on for at least 14 pages. So yeah it must have come from the movie...

The GOP/TP's only true goal is laid bare here: getting back in power. They don't care if the economy tanks as long as that big bad black scary President man is gone sooner rather than later.

It's not as if they have any new plans to jump start the economy, just recycled slogans about further tax cuts and deregulation. But this GOP always has an advantage--they prefer the status quo and don't really want to get much done. If govt is ineffective, that's OK with them since they hate govt anyway. So the pressure on them to pass major legislation is pretty low. As long as they obstruct and prevent any major change, they'll be satisfied.

I amend my previous statement. It's hard to "hyperventilate" when giving a 4-hour speech.
