Israeli Humanitarian Aid Reaches Turkey; Turkish Government Unmoved
Israeli humanitarian aid has reached Turkey, after the Turkish government realized it was out of its league in dealing with the latest natural disaster to befall the country. The major earthquake has left more than 500 dead and tens of thousands homeless.
Israel sent a supply of aid, including prefabricated buildings.
The Turkish government is unmoved by the gesture and remains peeved at Israel over the Mavi Marmara incident, in which the Turkish government through its proxies attempted to run the Israeli blockade on Gaza. Israel was within its rights to enforce the blockade and the confrontation ended up with 9 “activists” killed after the “activists” assaulted the IDF commandos who boarded.
There was no humanitarian aid on board the ship bound for Gaza.
