They are seriously going to hold a tribunal on this?
This reminds me a little bit of that "trial" they had where they found Lincoln guilty of a whole bunch of ridiculous things. I believe it was held at some school and i forget the particulars, but it was stupid and offensive like this one.

There's virtually no hope of a two-state solution anyway. Might as well go for one last, go-for-broke effort. If they lose, well they tried.

There would be if Fatah and Hamas weren't in charge. Or Islamic Jihad, or Al-Aqsa Martyrs or any of the PLO franchises.

Not to mention that a friend of mine who is Palestinian invited me to an event a group she is President of was doing.

The Israeli group next door was needlessly loud, and called for extra police because my friend and her group were some sort of threat.

I'm more than mildly pissed off that the other group thinks my friend is a terrorist. I'm at Category 4 Pissed.

re: #4 Bob Levin

The settlements have cut too many holes between the towns. The settlers act out constantly, with burning of Mosques, among other actions. Checkpoints isolate towns. Those checkpoints won't go away. And Israeli won't stop undercutting wells. Their is a water crisis on the West Bank,, and Israel isn't doing anything to stop Settler water consumption.

The Palestinians think that the Israelis are using the negotiations to continue building settlements and taking land. Not to mention under-funding of Arab schools and towns in Israel, with Netanyahu making (at best) token gestures.

After what my friend went through last week, I'm a little less sympathetic to the Israeli side of the conflict.

apparently they also aren't particularly careful about that sewage either. Conspiracy theories aside, when 10% of the population is responsible for 25% of the sewage runoff, some group is doing something wrong.

re: #6 ProLifeLiberal

Spare us the BS.

The settlements have cut too many holes between the towns. The settlers act out constantly, with burning of Mosques, among other actions.

As opposed to rocket attacks, bombings, kidnapping, breaking and entering, home invasion murders, roadside bombs and dismemberment of children... That is what the Palestinians do - and no the "Settlers" have not burnt mosques. That is a fabrication.

And while we are at it, some of those "settlements" on the west bank have been Jewish towns for well over 100 years. Others, like Hebron, contain Jewish holy sites that have had Jews living around them since biblical times. In fact, Hebron, not that you know what it is, is where the patriarchs and matriarchs are buried. That has been Jewish land since before there was even a Rome. It is no settlement.

re: #7 windsagio

And where did you pull that crazy statistic from? I mean other than your fevered imagination?

So you are less truthful about Israel because you are going to pro Palestine events, in America and known, brutal, terrorist regimes and their supporters are looked on with suspicion... and that is dramatically what your friend went through?

You self indulgent drama queen!

Compare that to:

Rocket attacks, bombings, kidnapping, breaking and entering, home invasion murders, roadside bombs and dismemberment of children... That is what the Palestinians do -

You disgust me.

And what happened with that Mosque in Galilee, hmm? Settlers are capable of violence as well, or are you going to say that Baruch Goldstein was justified? Believe me, if you want to attack me, or more importantly, my friend's character, I can get REAL Nasty. We can go into the history of Irgun, and all sorts of events you will have one hell of a time explaining away.

Yeah, I have a Palestinian Friend. She invited me to some events. The disruptive behavior of the Israeli group is unacceptable

Of course, you are the same person who likes the idea of purging the Arab Population. So I expect no common ground. Nevermind the Arabs have also lived there for the past 1,000 years, you think they should all go.

re: #10 ProLifeLiberal

And what happened with that Mosque in Galilee, hmm?

Wonderful lies...

What did happen... I mean accurately... spray paint! It was wrong, but get real.. Arabs generally blow up synagogues. Is the Mosque still standing? Was that part of Israeli policy or something the government and majority of Israelis want the perps in prison for?

Settlers are capable of violence as well, or are you going to say that Baruch Goldstein was justified?

More lies...

He was put in prison for murder. Israel rejected him. Had it been the other way around, the Palestinians would have made a martyr card out of him and passed out sweets. Also. He was one lone nut case, not part of an internationally backed terror government like Hamas or Hezbollah.

Believe me, if you want to attack me, or more importantly, my friend's character, I can get REAL Nasty.

here not in the same reality...

I am not attacking your friends' character, other than to say this person clearly whitewashes the terrorists in Palestine and feeds you propaganda. Your threats don't intimidate me one bit. However, I am talking about people dead and murdered and you are whining about a party in America.

We can go into the history of Irgun, and all sorts of events you will have one hell of a time explaining away.

Well what is there to explain away really? The Irgun was fired upon by the Haganah and forcibly disbanded by the Israeli people. However, even when they were in operation they limited them selves to military targets - as opposed to your friends who seem to limit themselves to civilian targets.
Yeah, I have a Palestinian Friend. She invited me to some events. The disruptive behavior of the Israeli group is unacceptable

Of course, you are the same person who likes the idea of purging the Arab Population.

More lies...Not exactly what I said, but I am sure you see it that way. I want Hamas and the hezzies killed to the last however.

So I expect no common ground.

Yes... I worry about friends and loved ones killed while you whine about parties.

Nevermind the Arabs have also lived there for the past 1,000 years

In the long history of Israel that is a short time.

you think they should all go.

No, just the ones who can't make peace.

Really, cause I recall you making a comment saying sometime ago that you wanted them all to go. I'm sure that, given 24 hours, I can find it.

The Palestinians

Also, let me point out that the Israeli Diaspora occurred in 70 AD.

The Republic of Israel was established in 1948.

There is a large amount of time here between the two. Time in which the Arabs settled in. And now, my friend doesn't condone attacks on Citizenry, like you say she does.

You just called her a terrorist. Bad move.

Just because we were not in power does not mean we weren't still living in the homeland. We also did not put up a "for sale" sign. As to the long time.. well that leads to a "who the hell" are you question.

You just called her a terrorist. Bad move.

No I said she clearly whitewashes terrorists. Anyone who schedules a pro Pali event next to an Israeli one is clearly an activist. Yes?

Now let me repeat... I am talking about real dead friends and relatives of mine. You are talking about security at some pro pali function. That makes you a douche.

Both governments of "Palestine" are terrorist organizations. Hamas openly and Fatah less openly. Supporting them is supporting terror.

And considering that I lost family at Utoya, with my family's last name appearing in the death list 3 fucking times, how about you stop making assumptions about myself. What the hell do you think I go through whenever I hear of the Tea Party or Geert Wilders.

He [Goldstein] was put in prison for murder.

Actually not. He was beaten to death when he shot up Muslims in Hebron.

You are thinking of Yigal Amir, who assassinated Yitzhak Rabin.

The point is that the overwhelming majority of Israelis reject these acts, and even those who condone them, have not kidnapped anyone and held them for ransom for the release of Amir and other prisoners.

That is quite obnoxious on any number of levels.

With wingnuts, trying to explain the truth of something like evolution or climate is an endless battle. They just simply don't want to hear, ignore all points made that dispute their ridiculous narratives and generally make things up and become obtuse, arrogant and insulting.

For you, and moonbats like you, it is the same problem only with Israel.

Not once have you acknowledged any of th basic truths. But it is worse than that because those basic truths are written in the blood of innocent people. Perhaps you don't care about their deaths, but I do.

As to the Third Temple... again, you are being insulting and arrogant with that remark.

I never said that.

What I did say was that the Temple mount is absolutely Jewish property, always has been and always will be and that the Muslims have no legitimate claim to it mosque or not. You can disagree with that, you would be wrong, but you can disagree. It would be respectful to at least quote me correctly.

re: #22 windsagio

Your link is from a wiki, that says citation needed. Also, it is unclear what is being counted as a settlement and where. Another thing you did not consider is that if the "settlement" in question is a kibbutz with a lot of farm land, then the animals need to poo too.

26 windsagio  Tue, Nov 1, 2011 9:34:37pm

re: #24 LudwigVanQuixote

Every time you say 'perhaps you don't care about innocent deaths', a baby gets punched in the gut.

It really creeps me out by the way, you don't even deny that you've compared Palestinians with animals. That's so very messed up.

I also remember the temple thing differently, but its good that you clarified it into something... slightly less insane.

In the end, you don't present arguments per se, you present emotional and hyperbolic posturing. The combination of your radical religious extremism and your utter inability to deal with people disagreeing with you makes any discussion you take part in on your subject inevitably flamey.

re: #25 LudwigVanQuixote

I left the 'citation needed' on the quote in on purpose, silly :p I don't know why this minor, weird point is so very important. If I'd been being moonbatty or trying to get your goat, I would have put in the part where settlers are accused of intentionally pouring toxic sewage onto Palestinian farms, but I didn't because that's just to provocative and weird (which is ironic considering how provoked you got anyways).

You are lying. You continue to lie and the whole issue of very real deaths still is not acknowledged by you and you consider me fucked up? You don't even acknowledge a damn point that doesn't support your lies.

You are just as obnoxious as any wingnut when it comes to this topic.

I consider Hamas and Hezbollah and Islamic Jihad, and their supporters as animals. Of course... Hamas was elected in a landslide in Gaza...

So let me ask you a serious question.

You have written, if I recall correctly, that you are a gay man. You know full well that I have no problem with gay people, but it does make this question quite pertinent.

In the Arab world, West Bank included and Gaza in particular, you would be murdered for being gay. Gay men have had dismembered pieces of themselves put in buckets and sent to family members over there amongst other atrocities. So how is it that you support the Palistinians?

29 Almost Killed by Space Hookers  Tue, Nov 1, 2011 10:01:07pm

re: #18 ProLifeLiberal

I respond by the fact that West Bank people have an actual Water Crisis with undercut wells. I respond with the fact that the Settlers make life miserable for the Palestinians.

But without any acknowledgement of the violence perpetrated by the Palestinians that led to the situation or the fact that those checkpoints were put in place to stop terror attacks and as a result have dramatically reduced them. That is why the terrorists have switched to rockets more and more.

I acknowledge the dead. I want a peace just for both side, not just where one gets what it wants, and the other has an inability to move, and is unable to get water.

And yet Israel provides them with water and electricity more than anyone else and most of the foreign aid money that has gone for them to set up their own water and electricity has ended up in the pockets of corrupt PA officials, weapons and terrorist funding. How did Arafat get those billions in his Swiss bank account? Why are you so woefully and wilfully ignorant on this topic? It is like talking to a wall.

And considering that I lost family at Utoya, with my family's last name appearing in the death list 3 fucking times, how about you stop making assumptions about myself. What the hell do you think I go through whenever I hear of the Tea Party or Geert Wilders.

Possibly the same thing I do when a deluded moonbat like you bashes Israel and falsely equates it with the terrorist Palistinians. I am sorry for your loss. Truly I am. Do not blame the innocent for it. I know parents whose children were killed by Palestinian terrorists. I knew people who were blown up by Palestinian bombs. In the mean time though, it is more important for you to be "right" when posting on the net and feeding your own narratives than it is to actually learn facts or acknowledge them.
