Occupy Boston Swarms Israeli Consulate
I am in sympathy with the “Occupy” protests but they really have to put a stop to crap like this and not let these shitheads hijack the movement.

Following the incident in which a bunch of nutjobs swarmed the Israeli consulate in Boston, the Israeli cabinet had an emergency meeting in which it was decided to immediately end the occupation of all parts of palestine and to stop being mean in general.
“It was bad enough the first time, but they said they’ll be back. We just couldn’t take that chance.” Said Israeli Prime Minister Bibi in an official press release.

Yeah, one of their problems is that all these various groups, like in this case Code Pink, now rhetorically leash their protest actions to the OWS movement as a whole. As long as OWS refuses hierarchy & leadership there’s no-one to prevent it, and the fractured, confused messaging that comes with that lack of structure. Glancing at the video it looks like Code Pink managed to assemble less than a dozen.

I still have a habit of referring to kaffiyehs as emoscarfs.
…i’m sorry.

What a fantastic non-organization. By not having any leaders, and no organization to speak of, you can do anything and no one can blame anyone.
Violence? That is not the real OWS. Racism? No…. that is someone else hijacking OWS. They are not with us. Fornicating in the street? Ok that was us…
And the people doing the denouncing can change day to day and week to week.

Because of that, OWS couldn’t stop this even if the wanted to — they have no leaders.
So what to do? Have a counter-demonstration— but only by other people from OWS. (preferably marching from the OWS site to the embassy, along site the other protestors!)
I’m sure there are some Israel-supporters in OWS .. Even if its just a few, the point will be made. (And the point here is: this sort of thing divides OWS and dilutes their message).
