Psy Ops… this explains how the energy companies successfully claim that the next fuel extraction method will absolutely, positively, be completely 100% safe. Exxon Valdez, pipelines, Gulf spills, etc. - all things of the past. And there are people who believe this utter claptrap. Simply put: If you pump poison into the ground, it will eventually find a way to seep out. I don’t care about containment sleeves, natural geological boundaries, impermeable soil configurations, and blablabla. It’s humans doing things with unforeseeable outcomes. The outcomes we can’t foresee have an uncanny way of being the ones that come to pass.

One more way to fuck the public and run out the back door with the money, all with the governments knowledge and culpability. Ask them to come drink the water the gas drillers have deemed fit for consumption. Let their children and grandchildren drink it. Have it bottled and sent to every stockholder to take home and tell them that this is all you will have when we are done. What do you call land with bad water? Useless. What do you call poisoning people? Should be criminal.

I was expecting to see some sort of Alex Jones-type of craziness in regards to this story.

Then I clicked on the CNBC link to the story that Think Progress cited - which has the audio recording of the oil industry’s discussions.
