You never saw Edward R. Murrow or Walter Cronkite flash their undies on screen!

Your post isn't tasteless and misogynistic, Aus, the pimps who run Faux News are.

Burkas for everyone!

Sarcastic, but well taken (at least by me). It's a shallow tactic, but the TV business is about entertainment, not real news finding.

Quite contrary to your intentions, you are actually making Ahmadinejad's point for him.

please expand on that thought. I am sure you can back that up with more than a simple assertion.

What do you think is Ahmadinejad's point, and how am I helping him make it?

I think Buck was making the point that the opposite of too much is nothing at all. But I suspect (just call me crrazzyy) that there's some middle ground where a woman can dress nice AND sexy AND not show all the goods.

There's definitely a part of me that gets angry because the "sexy" will always be noticed before the "brain". The women's movement(s) have been fighting against this for decades by trying to teach young girls that you need more than just "pretty" but if you look at the women newscasters, all of them, not just on FOX (which, yes, is the most egregious) they are all pretty women. And it's not just that you won't see an average looking woman on the news, you won't see older ones either. You see a ton of old, gray-haired MEN, but not women.

Who is the female contemporary to George Will?

Of course, in the realm of "it doesn't matter what you show, but what you know" it shouldn't matter right? I was taught as a kid that the outside matters a lot less than what's on the inside. And that's 100% correct, unless of course, you have nice tits.

I rarely watch FOX News anymore, but all but one of the women in those photos have not worked at FOX for awhile. Their philosophy may or may not have changed, but if we're going to bash them we should at least have current information.

re: #13 _RememberTonyC

I rarely watch FOX News anymore, but all but one of the women in those photos have not worked at FOX for awhile. Their philosophy may or may not have changed, but if we're going to bash them we should at least have current information.

And how many of those (one) remaining actually are reading the news, and are not just part of daytime television?

I just mean if the mob is going to compare them to "Edward R. Murrow or Walter Cronkite", then at least they can get their fact right.

However I think the point is that "ausador" wants women to cover up. I suppose if pressed we could hear how the “senior male”s are powerless to decide what to watch. After all like cats to uncovered meat... it really isn't their fault....

ausador knows he is being a first class misogynist.

He knows that none of this is anywhere close to "A String Bikini Bottom", but even if it was, he is free to change the channel. He is not free to dictate what women wear. He is not free to suggest these women are anything but professionals.

Well, here he is free to do whatever he wants, of course...

Liberals.... tolerance, women's rights..... git it right here, unless you disagree with us politically... then...

Healing Is the Message at Interfaith Service for Victims of Sunday’s Shootings
Clergy of different faiths, joined by U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, delivered messages of hope and unity Thursday before more than 1,300 people gathered at the Jewish Community Center in Overland Park. "A pall has been cast over our great nation," Holder said. "We gather today not in joy, but in solemn reflection." The overall message, however, was focused on the power of ...

Criminalizing Expectant Mothers - NYT
Even by the standards of the growing Republican assault on the lives and rights of women, a new bill passed by bipartisan majorities in both houses of Tennessee's Legislature recently stands out for being meanspirited and counterproductive. If signed by the state's Republican governor, Bill Haslam, the legislation would give Tennessee the dubious distinction of being the first state to specifically authorize the ...

Calgary stabbings: How knife crime in Canada can cause ‘moral panic’
What Calgary police chief Rick Hanson called the "worst mass murder" in the city's history didn't end at the barrel of a gun. New York Electoral College: State Joins National Popular Vote Interstate Compact.
Ben Mathis-Lilley, Slate: New York Electoral College: State Joins National Popular Vote Interstate Compact.
