Ford's Theatre: Pinheads!

Why should a book written by Bill be any different than his nightly commentary?

Has anyone seen "The Conspirator"? It's a movie driected by Robert Redford, about the trial of the Lincoln assassination conspirators, focusing on Mary Surratt. It's an excellent movie, well researched.

"No fair!" says Bill. "No one's ever complained about lack of facts before. Why are you starting now?"

I was just there on Sunday. James Sawnson's book is better anyhow.

Turns out this is a lie... no wait, a serial disregard for fact.

Paul R. Tetreault, the society's director, said in a statement that "We decided several weeks ago to carry Bill O'Reilly's book 'Killing Lincoln' in the Ford's Theatre Society gift shop.

the reports and headlines that the book has been banned from Ford's Theatre for inaccuracies that continue to circulate internet? Those are just not accurate.

Serial disregard for facts, like what O'Reilly displayed in his book? :) Let's just have the rest of the article so we know the whole story:

The National Park Service, which operates a bookstore in the basement of Ford's Theatre, decided not to carry the book after review. But one flight up, the book is being sold, in the lobby gift shop of the theatre. That gift shop is run by the Ford's Theatre Society, together with the National Park Service.

"We decided several weeks ago to carry Bill O'Reilly's book 'Killing Lincoln' in the Ford's Theatre Society gift shop," said Paul R. Tetreault, director of Ford's Theatre Society. "While we understand the National Park Service's concerns about the book, we decided to let our visitors judge the book themselves."

The Post posted an update reflecting the book's availability in the Ford's Theatre lobby here.

Not exactly a ringing endorsement in any case.
