Back on February 22, 2010, David Axelrod looked at the 55 candles on his birthday cake and thought to himself, “I wish the GOP would run only the craziest and most incompetent nominees in the country for President, and maybe, just for fun, one sensible-sounding guy that their base will never vote for.” He then proceeded to blow out all the candles.

Then, last Thanksgiving, he came away with the largest piece of the wishbone. When everyone asked, “What did you wish for?” he refused to tell, all the while imagining the spectacle of 26 televised GOP debates.

Ahem. According to the machine that keeps track of 2008 donors, I was the #1 Obama donor in my ZIP code. It wasn’t that hard. There were 5 others, 2 of them from my dining room table.
