Fox News On Pepper Spray: ‘It’s A Food Product, Essentially’
Proving once again why their viewers are less informed than people who don’t watch the news at all, here is Fox News talking about the UC Davis pepper spray incident.
From TPM:
On Monday night, O’Reilly Factor host Bill O’Reilly and Fox News host Megyn Kelly sat down to discuss what really happened at UC Davis on Friday and whether campus police acted appropriately in showering a group of sitting students with pepper spray. Their conclusion? No big deal.
‘Pepper spray, that just burns your eyes, right?’ O’Reilly asked Kelly.
‘Right,’ Kelly said. ‘I mean, its like a derivative of actual pepper. It’s a food product, essentially.’
Yeah! Pepper spray is just like food. Why are people so upset? Getting hit with riot-grade pepper spray (which is more than 15 times hotter than the Habanero pepper) at point blank range is just like getting hot sauce in your eye, or something. Morons.
Also, Bill? We have every right to Monday morning quarterback the police in this case because they used excessive force. But of course, you don’t care because these kids are at a liberal campus, right?
