This sounds like a very reliable person.....

Cain must be a CIA quality cleaner. After 13 years, no one has any evidence that he might have left behind.

Not a card, a note, a hotel bill, dinner receipt. No pictures, no one saw them together. Not an email. Not one recollection on her part that includes a date and location that could be verified.

And for a whole year he was sick and almost dead in and out of the hospital.

Pretty impressive if you ask me. This guy could be the USA's greatest spy!

re: #1 Buck

What did you think of this paragraph, Buck?

I’m not sure how those hardy few still defending Cain can say she’s lying about her relationship with him but telling the truth about other men in her life. And if she’s the hooker that the commenters on the Daily Beast story say she is, what does that make Cain?

re: #1 Buck

The only thing for certain is what seems to be an increase in allegations and political 'photoshopping' of candidate behavior and rhetoric (and the GOP is equally guilty in the out of context Olympics).

I don't believe for a minute Cain has cleans hands but just how dirty they are has yet to be determined.

What I find fascinating is the nullification of Cain predicated on his behavior versus his ridiculous and shallow politics.

I am not saying she is telling the truth about other men in her life either.

Again, I am waiting for ANY evidence. For me accusation is not evidence.

Accusations are not proof, but multiple accusations and settlements are certainly evidence.

If multiple accusations is evidence for you, I am glad you are not in any position to prosecute anyone.

In fact, multiple accusations and settlements are not evidence of anything.

Especially with a public figure.

Where did you get your law degree?

8 Buck  Mon, Dec 5, 2011 4:55:21pm

Really? Thousands of people accused Obama of not being born in the USA. Does that add up to evidence against him?

Thousands of people accused Bush and Cheney of war crimes, and 9/11. Does that add up to evidence?

I don't need a law degree to understand what evidence is.

No, you don't. But it wouldn't hurt to read up on it a bit.

Instead you spout off like a moron, as usual.

Your argument is nothing more than Ad hominem, ending with name calling.

You simply attack my character and authority.

Maybe if you backed it up with reasoning and EVIDENCE I would take you more seriously.

You are providing my evidence for me with every comment you make. And I didn't call you a moron, I said you spout off like a moron, for which the evidence is right here.

I have to leave now. You could start with Wikipedia on evidence, if you want to sound less like a moron tomorrow.

13 Buck  Mon, Dec 5, 2011 5:13:21pm

When there is insufficient supporting evidence to determine whether an accusation is true or false, it is described as "unsubstantiated" or "unfounded".

In this case, so far, there is ZERO evidence to support these women's accusations.

Now you can say that the accusations are in themselves evidence, however without anything more to support the accusations they should be considered "unsubstantiated" or "unfounded" accusations.

See? Accusations need supporting evidence. Evidence is not accusations, and accusations are not evidence.

14 Buck  Mon, Dec 5, 2011 5:15:24pm

You still fail to address the substance of my argument, and continue to simply attack my character and authority.

You present nothing more than Ad hominem arguments, ending with name calling.

15 jaunte  Mon, Dec 5, 2011 5:25:41pm

The strongest evidence so far available is circumstantial. Unlike Obama when he was wrongly accused of being ineligible for the presidency, Cain has voluntarily ended his campaign.

17 tnguitarist  Mon, Dec 5, 2011 5:41:32pm

What about the phone bills, Buck? What about the fact that he admitted to giving her money without his wife's knowledge? But apart from all of that, what about the fact that he's a numbskull that has no business being near the office of President.

HC, the most authentic blackity black in the world, wasn't even bright enough to think of what even the youth in his methhead constituency would: just go buy her a MetroPCS throwaway prepaid phone and call/text that.

Cripes, he is almost even worse than Anthony.

So far all we know about the phone bills is that she mostly called him. Or that he called her back. However we don't have any real knowledge of any of that. Just what she has shown one media outlet. She hasn't actually released the documentation. I hope that we are not in a place where calling a woman is evidence of an improper relationship.

And the money only means that he is charitable. I suspect that there are many people, who while wealthy today have known poverty in their lives. I have no problem believing that they might help out people in need, especially friends. They might not discuss it with others, out of modesty and the respect for privacy for the person they are helping rather than guilt.

21 Altermite  Mon, Dec 5, 2011 6:05:42pm

I too frequently call women at 4 AM and then give them money. As they say on craigslist, 'lookin for generous$'.

And I am nothing if not generous.

22 Buck  Mon, Dec 5, 2011 6:10:54pm

re: #18 OhCrapIHaveACrushOnSarahPalin

Lol what authority is that?

By saying that I am not a lawyer, and inferring that only a lawyer can know what evidence is, they are NOT addressing the substance of my argument.

wrenchwench says that my every post is addressing the substance of my argument for her, as if that makes any sense.

No, instead of discussing the point, she is simply attacking my character and (her belief that I lack the) authority to make my argument.

How dare anyone question Moses 2.0's m.o.

Gloria Cain deserves that stupid bigot. The entire GOP does.

26 jaunte  Mon, Dec 5, 2011 6:16:45pm

If we ultimately discover that Cain's accusers are lying and he's done nothing wrong, then he's been completely defeated by some minor league liars, and is not fit to be president because he's not up to the fight.

Correct, but wrenchwench's argument is that I need to be a lawyer in order to make my point. I am the one saying that I don't need that.

I am saying that she is the one who is attacking me on the points of character and (her belief that I lack the) authority.

Perhaps you feel she is being ridiculous when she does that? As opposed to me being ridiculous for pointing it out.

So, just to be clear, you would be totally ok if you found out your spouse were doing these same exact things?

29 tnguitarist  Mon, Dec 5, 2011 6:42:31pm

If you need any proof, just look at what Cain is not saying. If none of this were true, why isn't he suing these women for slander?

30 Obdicut  Mon, Dec 5, 2011 7:03:14pm

re: #20 Buck

You're seriously saying that he didn't discuss paying money to another woman-- a woman who sleeps with men who reward her financially-- with his wife out of modesty on his part?

I don't know that he knew that she sleeps with men who reward her financially.

re: #29 tnguitarist

He has been advised by a really high priced lawyer that people (public figures) like him might not be able to sue. However he has retained them to keep track and possible do so in the future.

37 Buck  Mon, Dec 5, 2011 7:47:57pm

My wife is not very rich, and does not come from being very poor. She is not religious. We might have a completely different relationship than the Cains.

Unlike you, I don't judge them, or think I know what is right or wrong for them.

Is that the answer you wanted? No. But it is an answer.

Yes, until Weiner was proven to be the serial lying pervert degenerate I was giving him the benefit of the doubt.

What about you?

re: #39 Buck

Do you consider hiding things-- like financially assisting another women-- from your wife for thirteen years to be a form of lying, or is that okay in your world?
