Victims of abuse at Dutch school get damages

Twenty-one victims of child sexual abuse by Roman Catholic clergy in the Netherlands have agreed on the amount of damages they will receive from the Salesian Society, the order to which the clergy belonged.
The agreement was announced by the JvDR steering committee which has been negotiating with the Salesians on behalf of the victims who are aged from 45 to 75. The abuse occurred at the Don Rua boarding school in’s-Heerenberg in the east of the Netherlands.
