Group encourages Iowa voters to ‘Vote Rogue’ and write-in Palin on Jan. 3
An independent group of Iowa Republicans is urging fellow Iowans to “vote rogue” on January 3, and caucus for a candidate who has already declared she isn’t running: Sarah Palin.
“Are you unhappy with the current GOP field?” says a narrator in a radio ad. “Let me tell you something, you are not alone. Join thousands of Iowans as we vote rogue. It’s the caucus for Sarah Palin on January 3. Let Iowa and the entire country know we want real leadership and real reform in DC. So come on Iowa, vote rogue on January 3!”
The group has a facebook page here
. They are apparently referring to themselves as “Sarah Palin’s Iowa Earthquake”, whatever the heck that means.
They’ve also begun running radio ads in Iowa like this one:
This video has already headed into Rick Perry territory, netting 53 dislikes to 39 likes.
Fox News featured a story on the “Vote Rogue” campaign, interestingly enough after they finished a long segment on why Romney wasn’t really that great a choice for the nomination (hmmm…)
In addition, Palin has plans to bring her “I’m not running for President” bus tour to Iowa next week, just time for the caucuses. How about that?
Practically speaking, the write in vote effort will fail, but it just goes to show you how much some on the right really despise Mitt Romney.
Strange times indeed.
