I score this debate -1 to Raleb Majadele for ranting obnoxiously and -2 to Anastassia Michaeli for the water and walking away. (Even without the water, walking away from a debate is a forfeiture.)

Yeah, Majadele sounded like he was being pretty obnoxious, and telling Michaeli to "shut up" was assholish, but her reaction was out of bounds.

There's no good/bad in this story, only dumb (Majadele) and way dumber (Michaeli) IMO.

BTW, kudos on successfully linking the video - I gave up on trying to post this earlier since it couldn't get it to work...

It's easy to link the video: There's a semi-transparent white button with two arrows on it in the upper right-hand corner of the video. If you hover over it you'll see that it says "Get Code". All you have to do is click on the button, then click on "Copy Code" and paste the code into your Page using the LGF "Embed Video" button (or by pressing "Ctrl + E").

Joking aside, someone from YB, or the coalition, needs to sit this woman down and tell her she need to keep her hands and beverages to herself, in no uncertain terms. This shit is not OK.

Why do you say that? The other people in the video were clearly expressing disapproval and tsk-tsk-ing Michaeli.

They've got a cruddy record and attitude toward Israeli Arabs, but even they should be clear that this is beyond the pale. If they won't discipline her, someone else from the coalition needs to take it on, because this is just not OK. You do not get to throw water on your fellow MKs.

Thanks! That's good to hear. I hope Majadele will just let it go. If she should be so unwise as to lose control for a third time, then I think assault charges should be filed. Hopefully that won't happen.
