Gingrich Calls for the Restoration of the Church Militant

Gingrich: We’re in a two front war for our civilization. At one front are the secular atheists who would seek to drive God out of our lives, and on the other front are radical Islamists who would seek to make America safe for Islam and militant religion. I think that we have to recognize how truly serious a crisis this is for our civilization, I find when I talk that there is a need for the Church Militant once again if we are going to survive. I really do believe that we are in a two front war over the very potential of our society being preserved.

First the Church Militant followed by the Holy Inquisition. Throw in a couple bond fires for the unbelievers. The Fundies can't get their way legally but mass murder and mayhem is perfectly OK.

Newt missed a few convert classes. The Church Militant never went away--it's just a name for the church members still on Earth, at war with Satan. (Just a 'history' tip for the day, but Newt should know that.)

I've been saying America is in a two front war for a couple of years now.

But I regard one front as the Islamists and the other front as the Christian fundamentalists. They are even, in my eyes, similar in makeup. Their background is largely pastoral or agricultural. Their world is mostly monocultural. Their perspective is through their badly taught and rather corrupted religion.

Two front wars are usually lost wars. Even a genius like Napoleon lost to such a war.

America doesn't even have a general of that calibre in command these days.

And of course, despite his call being an overt call for authoritarian rule, the right wing won't even raise a whisper against such a plan.
