Another notable text removed from Tucson’s classrooms is Shakespeare’s play “The Tempest.” I

When school officials become afraid of Bill Shakespeare we ought to take that as a sign about how winged-out the wingnuts' fruits are. This move is a direct result of the AZ right wing racists afraid of any history that might challenge their own history-fantasies.

What is the Tucson school district afraid of? They are afraid that the son of a glove maker has more knowledge to pass along in plays and sonnets than they do in their committees. Shakespeare wrote about human beings and taught many lessons that are still valid today. He understood people better than most psychiatrists.

Wow. What great free publicity for the authors.

This might just make that Shakespeare dude a household name.

Well, let's see - a European aristocrat travels to a Caribbean island, enslaves the inhabitants and sets himself up as an absolute ruler. One of the indigenes plots to overthrow his regime, kill him and - gasp! - marry his daughter.

CanNOT see what they're so worried about

Nothing makes a book more appealing to kids than seeing it on the banned list!
