Suspect in KCI Bomb Scare Ruled Unfit for Trial
A man accused of trying to bring a simulated explosive device through airport security at Kansas City International Airport is not mentally fit to stand trial, a judge has ruled.
Anthony Falco, Jr., 47, of East Petersburg, Pa., a former New York City Police officer, is charged with making false statements to federal agents and trying to bring items simulating an explosive device through security after he allegedly tried to bring a fake bomb through KCI security on the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks.
A federal judge has ordered Falco to be hospitalized for up to four months to allow doctors to see if he will ever be competent to stand trial.
