It’s the equivalent of not giving a key to a locked room. If they can prove you have it, it’s obstruction of justice, I believe.

But yeah, not really a 5th amendment issue to me.

True. However it’s hard to prove one remembers something.

I somehow have the feeling that ‘ordering someone to decript his computer’ is not really something that is going to work…
Also, since when are jailhouse conversations always a 100% true? Bloody hell, someone could be bluffing or making a story nicer than it is to ‘impress’ people, so the ‘evidence’ is kinda based on quicksand.
Absolutely ridiculous ruling, especially regarding comment # 2.
