Santorum: Colleges and universities ‘indoctrinate’ their students
Which is tantamount to admitting that he prefers ignorant douchebags like himself as citizens of the United States.
Douchebag.

I don’t believe Santorum is stupid, exactly. I believe he suffers from a severe case of what I call information disease.
He’s been fed only certain types of information in his life, and this information has diseased his rational faculties. You see the human mind takes in information through the prism of the information already in there. This colours everything that comes in. Information that does not fit either never makes it through the prism or is damaged to fit into the mind’s preconceptions.
Information disease is widespread and generally not recognized. It’s doing a ton of damage to our society.

I agree.
The whole notion of IQ and conservatism and so on is absurd.
Who wants to tell the voters of Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Nebraska. Alaska,
Oklahoma, Kansas, North Dakota, Alabama, Texas, Mississippi, South Dakota, South Carolina, Montana, Kentucky, Indiana, Georgia,
North Carolina, Tennessee, Arizona, Louisiana, Virginia they are less intelligent because they voted for someone other than a liberal or progressive candidate?
Who will go on record declaring those religious voters who vote for more conservative representatives, as stupid.
For that matter, is the bias against Jews/Christians/Muslims by many believers world the result of lesser intelligence- or is it possible that bigotry is the result of a dysfunctional culture that has infected entire populations?
I’m reminded of numerous regimes who declared certain populations as ‘lesser’ because of their religious, national, cultural or political affiliations.
It is interesting to note how those who use ‘science’ to declare one group as lesser somehow always manage to find a way justify bigotry.
You are right to distinguish ‘information disease’ from some imaginary and contrived ‘science’.
The have been those on the right who have foolishly excoriated the left in the same pseudo-scientific way- and my response is the same.
