Trade between Israel and Britain surged in 2011, British Ambassador to Israel Matthew Gould announced on Wednesday, growth that flies in the face of calls to boycott Israeli products from within the U.K. and beyond.
‘The people calling to boycott Israel make a lot of noise, but their influence is very small. The British government is opposed to boycotting Israel – but if someone is concerned about it, just look at the numbers,’ Gould said while explaining the burst of commerce between the two countries.
It’s very difficult to boycott products that will save lives and the environment.
