The GOP thought they could turn the birth control debate into a wedge issue about religion they could use against the President. Instead, they have stumbled into a minefield of misogyny. Thanks Rush!

I can't imagine why.

Okay, now how long before the GOP proposes taking the vote away from those pesky women?

Y'all are doing it wrong. We should've never let you vote in the first place. If you gals aren't fit to control your own reproduction, then how can you possibly be fit to vote? No more abortions, no more birth control, no more voting. And y'know what? While we're at it, hand me those car keys. If you need to go somewhere, ask a male family member to take you.

Saudi Arabia got it right. It's high time you uppity women were put back in your proper place.

Thanks, indeed. While I don't care for one party rule, when the other party has completely lost its fucking mind, perhaps a generation or two time-out in the corner is called for.

I read about 500 of the comments at the original link and the GOP is in a world of hurt. They really kicked the hornet's nest with this one.

I think young women could be completely lost to the GOP. Many young women don't remember the good old days of bleach douches, coat hangers or back-alley abortions. But many are on the pill and want to control when and under what circumstance they want to bring children into the world.

This is the biggest political misstep in decades.

The fact that the GOP didn't see it coming just proves how detached they are from reality. I hope it bites them hard on the state-level too.

Like I've said before: whatever your views on politics, I should hope we agree that living in the real world should be a prerequisite for governing it. The outright delusional cannot be trusted with the button.
