Arizona - oh what are they thinking!

Anyway, why isn’t this a clear-cut case of discrimination? They’re making a value judgement that this woman’s life is not worth as much as a married person’s, who has a kid.

Who died and made them gods?

ACLU where are you?

PS I am also glad Komen’s misdeeds have had consequences; but, the rich and powerful people responsible are not suffering. Cancer patients and poor people are suffering.

Honestly why don’t the rich, powerful screw-ups of this world ever pay the freight for their failures? In fact, WE pay: workers, women, the poor, disabled people, children, the sick.

It’s fundamentally wrong.

The only people who qualify for Medicaid in Nevada are children, pregnant women, families with dependent children, disabled adults, or people over 65 years of age.

Florida too. A single male, even if homeless and indigent cannot get medicaid coverage any more regardless of their health issues.

I made the discovery about Nevada Medicaid when my mother-in-law had to move in with us because she was basically homeless and couldn’t afford to pay for any more nights at a motel. She didn’t qualify for any aid of any kind. We ended up paying her COBRA for a year and her copays and medications, completely depleting our savings. She finally had to move to California and live with my sister-in-law where she could at least get some aid.

Yes, but one can still donate to PP instead and have a similar effect.

A better effect. Komen is administratively bloated and their execs suck way too much out in salaries. It’s far better to give directly to Planned Parenthood.
