I have had to stop reading the Yahoo comment section, to preserve my sanity.

In fact it is no longer my home page, on general principle. I have written so many times to thread moderators about hate speech, usually against Israelis/Jews but also, frequently, against Muslims, and nothing gets done, so enough already.

What we're seeing now is open racism, such as the loathsome "re-***" sign.

I could scream. What has happened to this country? Were people always this bad? And the internet just gave them a voice?

I'm pretty damn resilient when it comes to reading comments on the net from nutters, but even I don't dare tread near the waste that is Yahoo or Youtube.

Same here; those two are the worst of the worst.

Alouette, don't torture yourself with reading all that crap. I never read the comments on anything related to Islam, even if it's the rare positive story. As a matter of fact, I pretty much never read the comments for any story unless it's somewhere that trolls don't usually venture (or where there's decent moderation). There's no benefit in abusing your eyes & mind with such filth.

Now I find myself wondering if the sickening comments left by "Poison Ivy" were actually put there with the intention of causing damage to "The Ivy" restaurant in Los Angeles, possibly by a disgruntled former employee.

Yeah, I saw that this morning. It's pretty much par for the course. And if it turns out it was this neo-Nazi guy they're looking for, the same people will still insist it's the fault of Muslims because (take your pick):

1.) Muslims inspired him with their all-consuming Jew hate.

2.) The Muslims that have emigrated to France are disgusting animals incapable of living in a civilized society—all they do is rape, plunder, and sit on their lazy asses asking for government handouts. Witnessing how they're destroying his country & how the government panders to them caused the poor patriotic shooter to snap and murder innocent little children. (The kids weren't really innocent anyway because they just would've grown up to be hard-left socialists—the "hero" Breivik knew this.)

3.) It was a false flag operation. Iran or AQ or the MB or some other bogeyman paid him to do it. The paratroopers were collateral damage—he only killed them to confuse the police. Besides, who cares? They were Arab & black immigrant scum, so good riddance.

4.) The not-so-secret Muslim U.S. President arranged the whole thing and Soros funded it. It's part of his plan for the Global Caliphate.

That's the mindset and you cannot speak reason to it. Just swap out a couple of things and you have an evil Zionist Jew conspiracy:

1.) All Muslims hate Jews > all Jews hate Muslims

2.) Disgusting violent Muslims > disgusting greedy Jews

3.) False flag by Iran/AQ/MB > false flag by Mossad

4.) Obama arranged it, funded by Soros > Netanyahu arranged it, funded by cabal of Jewish bankers

It's a pretty simple formula.
