The Telegraph reports that the Spitfires will be able to be returned to the UK. and there are 20 of them. Some will likely end up here in the USA.

Burmese Spitfires, a different batch, played a role in theIsraeli Air Force's development. The first really effective fighters in the IDF were 80 or so Spitfires acquired from Czechoslovakia during the 1948-49 War of Independence. Czechoslovakia was almost alone among the nations of the world in openly supplying arms to Israel during that crucial period. The Spits saw a great deal of action during the war and over the next few years. By 1953, they were out of date and had been replaced by jets. The best 18 survivors were then sold to the recently formed Burmese Air Force, becoming its first combat aircraft. Getting them to Burma (now Myanmar) involved quite a bit of subterfuge but they duly arrived. They stayed in service several years. With the exception of a couple preserved in museums, these aircraft were all destroyed in service or scrapped.

Being made of wood (though closer to modern composite structures like Rutan's stuff than to earlier sticks and doped cloth planes) no examples of the Termite's Dream will be found that could be made airworthy

But if I was Romney-rich I'd bung this guy some money and tell him "rattle ya dags" (or Kiwi equivalent)
