Mostly agree, except for the part about Israel:

"Because of course, if you don’t put Israel above America, then you’re somehow anti-Israel."

To me this is a seriously problematic quote and often conceals seriously problematic attitudes.

Media Matters isn't anti-Christian. They're just anti-asshole. And since the majority of Americans are Christian it stands to reason that the majority of those assholes will be Christian and in America we sure do have a lot of those.

I didn't go to the whole article and didn't see this. I don't see why this guy jumps on the Israel issue given that it's not mentioned in the text he quotes. Well, whatever, that has nothing to do with MMFA but only with politicsusa author.

Let me word it a different way. There are people out there who thought that if you didn't agree with Bush that you were somehow anti-American. That could have been and still could be applied globally. This could also apply to Obama, the Democrats, Republicans, etc. So yes, there are many people out there that will say you are anti-Israel if you disagree with Netanyahu.

Sure, there are those people. I have spent many an hour arguing with them.

There are also many people out there who will say that Israel should not exist, and that if you say it should, you are a racist colonialist imperialist. I meet these folks more often than I would like.

Luckily, most people fall somewhere in the vast middle of rational political thought.

However, the urgency of including a lengthy explanation of how his diasgreement with 'Israeli policies' does not make him a bad person, and he loves America more than Israel, SUCK IT!, plus the video of Eisner hitting the Danish activist, and some rambling on that, seems unclear if you only look at what he quotes there. You have to go to the next link on, CBN's actual report, to see that what he is responding to is CUFI's David Brog complaining about the "Israel Firster" language Rosenberg was using (and has since dropped). The writer is reacting with the new catchphrase, "Some people say you're being anti-Israel if you don't put Israel ahead of America", a phrase which is normally not accompanied with an explanation of how America might gain greater advantage if only some people didn't say it was anti-Israel to think about that. (America. Land of self-sacrifice. We never think of ourselves, we only do for others. Kind of tragic.)

As it stands, it's sort of jarring. "CBN's being weird. Media Matters is not anti-Christian. Also, Israel isn't sacred or anything. I can criticize Israel if I want. Did you see the picture of this guy from the IDF hitting a Dane? Pretty bad stuff, although I'm not saying he's typical. I'm an American, and I care about America more than Israel. That's natural, innit? It not anti-Semitic to criticize Israel, even though a lot of people, like CBN, say it is. Oh, and CBN's being weird. Anti-Christian? Weird."

Hey, hey, no need to get nasty and bring your unfair (and numerate), understanding of numbers into it. Next thing you know you'll be backing up your claim with probabilities, you nasty man.

CBN is "pro-Israel" because they want Armageddon to happen and then everybody who doesn't accept Jesus will die.

That sound anti-humanity to me.

Abortion Pill Cases Link Tampa Woman to Stranger in Oklahoma
Five years ago, an Air Force airman grudgingly married his pregnant girlfriend but began lacing her food with ground up abortion pills. She miscarried in her second trimester, after consuming a deviled egg. Caylinn Young, 25, of Oklahoma felt isolated in her experience until she read recently about a Lutz woman named Remee Lee, 26, who miscarried in March, reportedly under similar circumstances. ...

Rapes in Brazil Spur Class and Gender Debate
RIO DE JANEIRO -- The attacks have stunned this city. In one, an assailant held a gun to the head of a 30-year-old woman while raping her in front of passengers on a bus as the driver proceeded down a main avenue. In another, a 14-year-old girl from a hillside slum was raped on one of Rio's most famous stretches of beach. In ...

Obamacare Will Be a Debacle — for Republicans
Well, the preliminary numbers for CA are in -- and they're looking very good, with costs coming in below expectations. At this point, it looks as if this thing is indeed going to work. And think about the political dynamics. Because the Supreme Court decided to let states opt out of the Medicaid expansion, some states -- notably Texas -- will have a ...

An Interplanetary GPS Using Pulsar Signals
Spacecraft could determine their position anywhere in the solar system to within five kilometres using signals from x-ray pulsars, say astronomers. Navigating in space is a tricky business. The usual method relies on Earth-based tracking stations to work out a spacecraft's distance using radio waves, a process that is accurate to within a metre or so. That's fine for the radial distance, but ...

4 Reasons ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’ Is Secretly About Drugs
Nice, right? Anyway, here's my thesis: Raiders of the Lost Ark is not an action-adventure movie about an archaeologist who plays by his own rules and saves the day. Instead, the film is an exploration of Marion Ravenwood's crippling drug addiction. An addiction that was born from her unhealthy relationship and continued association with Indiana Jones. Is it true? Who cares. Can I prove ...

WAPO’s Glenn Kessler Gives Three “Pinocchios” To Claim of Doctored Emails
It has long been part of the Washington game for officials to discredit a news story by playing up errors in a relatively small part of it. Pfeiffer gives the impression that GOP operatives deliberately tried to "smear the president" with false, doctored e-mails. But the reporters involved have indicated they were told by their sources that these were summaries, taken from notes ...

We know how to reduce the incidence of common medical conditions but …
Obesity is on the rise-- as is the incidence of Heart Disease, Diabetes, Stroke and various forms of Cancer. And, shockingly, diseases that had in the past begun in old age are now appearing at much earlier ages. A groundbreaking scientific study showed how easily (and inexpensively) the rate of occurrence of these and other serious illness could be greatly reduced-- but this information ...
