I wonder how Ha’aretz is taking this, or rather, what the staff of Ha’aretz is now taking.

Neither the new coaltion deal, nor the fact that the Prime Minister’s government represents the vast and overwhelming will of the Israeli population to survive and to fight if needed in order to do so will cause the editorial staff of Ha’aretz to acknowledge that the parlor-liberal elite whose voice they represent does not represent the will of the people (or, for that matter, reality).

Yeah, but what are they taking? If they’re taking good enough stuff, they don’t have to acknowledge anything. ;-)

Does this mean the US can stay out of a war between Israel and Iran? We’re a little war weary in this country if you hadn’t noticed.

Unfortunately, I think all the “don’t do it, & we won’t help you” rhetoric is just that, because NO ONE wants Ir to have the bomb, no matter how we have to look to the rest of the world.

I don’t think anyone in the Obama admin. has suggested we won’t help Israel in a war with Iran. I don’t think Obama was BSing when he said, “We’ve got Israel’s back.”

The message is clear, and is directed toward Washington, Paris and Brussels as much as it is towards Tehran, Cairo or Djidda: You want to talk to Israel, you talk to Bibi. Or don’t bother picking up the phone.

But this bluster from Krauthammer, who just looooooves war, doesn’t help the situation.
