Yeah I can imagine the reaction. Romney's a bully. Doesn't shock me at all. It's part of his character, his being.

The family says they can't remember it happening. There is a group of former students who have come forward to say they did not recall such a thing happening.

Sometimes "I don't recall that happening" is a way not to call people liars, and still say that it didn't happen.

I would bet that the 28% are like HappyWarrior, they already had a bad opinion of Romney.

That anyone thinks that it is part of his character does not have any idea of the man's true character. Does not know about a lifetime of charity, civil work and the countless number of people he has personally helped.

Buck - the naiveté of your statement is only exceeded by your obvious need to deceive yourself regarding reality so that you can support someone who is obviously totally lacking in character.

In regards to this bullying incident - your statement that, "There is a group of former students who have come forward to say they did not recall such a thing happening." - please site a source? Let me guess, Fox News? Sorry Snarky but I'd love some new facts from you on this. Buck, have you actually read anything relating the facts of the situation? The original Washington Post Story had 5 separate people relate the incident. Subsequently one was found to not be credible but NO ONE has given any reasonable explanation as to a way the other 4 could have conspired to make up the story.

When confronted with a claim someone could say "I don't remember" but if you are sure that it didn't happen and you do have character as you say he does. not just say, "It didn't happen."?

Romney Character is that, as a business man, he personally profited from others losses while simultaneously shoveling 100's of people's millions of dollars worth of pensions into a government run pension insurance system. Then, touting the results as "creating jobs". How many has he claimed he has created? He claimed "10,000" while running for the Mass Senate Seat in 1994 now when running for President in 2012 he claims "100,000".

So forgive me if, while giving him credit for a "lifetime pf charity and civil work", all in causes and in places of his choice, while during the same lifetime, making money at others expense, taking advantage of the government which he now derides, and claiming that he was producing something to be proud of.

Anyone who can say that the Arizona Immigration Law is a model for the whole country when he needed the voted of the xenophobic and racists votes of the Repub base then finely parse his words later, in preparation for the general election where he needs hispanics, and claim that he only meant an innocuos portion of the law, has no character.

Someone who can say face, that they governed the state of Mass as a "severe conservative" and have numerous sources show that he didn't, has no character.

Any one who, when they championed Mass Health Care reform and then say the it was a model for national reform when the fickle Repub base liked it and then claim later, after the National Health Care bill has passed and the despicable Glenn Beck's and Rush Limbaughs of the world has whipped their racists, bigoted and hypocritical instincts into a furry against it, to then claim that he really didn't say that, hasa no character.

Buck, you can vote for Romney for many reasons and one may be that you just don't like Obama. But, if you have to deceive yourself in regards to his positive character in order to do so, you lose any claim of self respect in the process.

Buck - the reality is that Romney has just went through the most tortuous transformation of any nominee of any party in my knowledge of Political history. He has now changed his positions and views from what they have been in the past in order to match where the Repub base is now not where it was when he began his political career in the 1990's. When people look at his political career before the last few, he looks like Huntsman. After the painful experience of watching him twist himself like a pretzel into a candidate that was more conservative than Rick Perry I cannot say that he couldn't help but bend any character that he has left, into a twisted wreck!

If this were the Rick Perry of Mass Governors time, who I gladly voted for, then I would wholeheartedly support him and vote for him again. Instead, we have Rick Romney. Much smarter intellectually, much more ignorant position wise.

There Is No Such Thing Really as Professional Photographers
there's no such thing as Flickr Pro, because today, with cameras as pervasive as they are, there is no such thing really as professional photographers, when there's everything is professional photographers. Certainly there is varying levels of skills, but we didn't want to have a Flickr Pro anymore, we wanted everyone to have professional quality photos, space, and sharing." - Marissa Mayer, Yahoo ...

WAPO’s Glenn Kessler Gives Three “Pinocchios” To Claim of Doctored Emails
It has long been part of the Washington game for officials to discredit a news story by playing up errors in a relatively small part of it. Pfeiffer gives the impression that GOP operatives deliberately tried to "smear the president" with false, doctored e-mails. But the reporters involved have indicated they were told by their sources that these were summaries, taken from notes ...

Men Are Being Sexually Assaulted in the Military, but Nobody Is Talking About It — the Good Men Project
Our Soldiers are being raped...by our Soldiers. In the U.S. Military, annually, more men are being raped by men than women are being raped by men. I state this fact, articulating it in this manner, not to diminish what these women are enduring but to raise the level of awareness and discourse to fully include the men; they have been dropping through the ...

CSOPE Classroom Curriculum System Dies Amid Criticism
AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - A classroom curriculum system used by hundreds of Texas school districts will stop offering lesson plans after some conservative groups claimed it was promoting anti-American values. State Sen. Dan Patrick said Monday that officials who created the system known as CSOPE will vote to scrap thousands of lesson plans this week, effectively killing the entire system. We know how to reduce the incidence of common medical conditions but …
Obesity is on the rise-- as is the incidence of Heart Disease, Diabetes, Stroke and various forms of Cancer. And, shockingly, diseases that had in the past begun in old age are now appearing at much earlier ages. A groundbreaking scientific study showed how easily (and inexpensively) the rate of occurrence of these and other serious illness could be greatly reduced-- but this information ...

Your Weekly Peggy Noonan Three Martini Column
We are in the midst of the worst Washington scandal since Watergate. The reputation of the Obama White House has, among conservatives, gone from sketchy to sinister, and, among liberals, from unsatisfying to dangerous. No one likes what they're seeing. The Justice Department assault on the Associated Press and the ugly politicization of the Internal Revenue Service have left the administration's credibility deeply, ...
