Hawaii verifies Obama birth records to Arizona

A nearly three-month-long tussle between two states over President Obama’s birth records may be at an end.

The state of Hawaii said late Tuesday it has provided verification of the president’s birth to Arizona’s secretary of state, who claimed he needed proof of Obama’s citizenship before he could place his name on the state’s November ballot.

Joshua Wisch, special assistant to Hawaii Attorney General David Louie, told The Associated Press that the matter is now resolved.

Hawaii didn’t give in to the request quickly or easily, pressing Arizona Secretary of State Ken Bennett for proof that the records were needed as part of normal business.

Wisch said Hawaii got the necessary proof, so it sent Bennett’s office the verification.

A spokesman for Bennett said he received Hawaii’s verification and will comment Wednesday. It was not clear if the new information would satisfy Bennett or bring the dispute to a close.

Oh, yeah. They try that and the legal fires that get lit are going to make Bush/Gore look like a little girl’s backyard tea party. I realize these idiots are all slash-and-burn but I really don’t think they wanna do that.

Heck, if Obama were a white guy named “John McCain,” this wouldn’t be happening.

There was a brief court challenge to John McCain’s candidacy based on the argument that because he was born in Panama, in the Canal Zone, he was not qualified to be President of the United States. The McCain birther issue never got anything like the reaction that the Obama-birther issue did.

I just emailed the stupid birther to ask him to demand verification from Michigan that Mitt Romney was born there. I would encourage you to do the same, especially if you live in Arizona. How easy would it have been for Ann Romney to visit Mexico compared to Stanley Anne going to Kenya? The stupid birther should be inundated with demands for equal treatment.

I’m 100% convinced that even if someone had filmed President Obama’s birth as it happened, the birthers still wouldn’t be satisfied. They’d say it was filmed in Kenya not Hawaii, or the original film was doctored, or the real baby Obama was switched with the Manchurian baby Obama immediately after birth, etc.
