Kid is an idiot. And honestly I hate exploting kids for political reasons like that. I'd have a problem with a fourteen year old left wing counterpart of this kid. Nothing wrong with kids having opinions but kids should be kids. Now that said my 11 year old kid brother who has no problems with gays or gay marriage would laugh at this kid.

My favorite (partial) line from the article:

A 14-year-old conservative radio host

Ladies and gentlemen, early 21st Century America.

If you think the logo for the kid's show in the video background looks familiar you're right:

Aren't there young Liberal commentators out there too?

I'm not trying to be snarky, I'm curious.

Here's a statement from the kids facebook page, count all the spelling and grammar errors. It's atrocious. Now I know he's only 14, but when I was his age I could spell and construct complete sentences a LOT better than this:

I make up my own mind. People don't do that for me. I can make deside my own beliefs. A matter effect my mom was a democrat! I know scarry right? Good thing is she was really young and didn't know what a "democrat" was. She is a Republican now! I listen to the news and care about this country. Just because your young doesn't mean you're a brainless zombie! Some kids care too. I focus my life on real things like politics, not a stupid VIRTUAL video game. That is not going to get you any where in life. And before you liberals ask, I wrote this my self.

I used to be ashamed of how I never did anything useful at age fourteen. But after seeing this kid, I don't feel so bad anymore.

All of them are starting to turn to homosexuals. We’ve got about 30 — I’d say 30 teenagers in this county that I’m at that are homosexuals. And it is sickening.”

Shame. Kid's 14 and he already hates freedom.

How long before he gets a CPAC speaking gig?

I wonder how he came to "30", is he spying on people? Does he have a connection at county? :D

Guessing that's his WVa county school. Surprising if 30 kids are out in that environment. (Buddy teaches French in Beckley.)

Cowger, who claims to be a Pentecostal Christian, added that he was “not for bullying homosexuals” but “when you’re trying to teach them the word of God and they consider that bullying?

So you're not for bullying... so long as you get to define what bullying means. I wonder how this kid would feel if I told him my religion considered being a Republican Sinful?

We're not bullying you! We're just disgusted by you and harrassing you constantly about our bizarre magical book that we demand you accept the word of!

The thing is, you can present the Bible and Jesus and whatnot to someone WITHOUT coming off as a bully or treating them as a second class person.

And what did Jesus have to say, oh what did he say, about being gay.... well nothing.

I love that his Youtube video says "[Being gay] is a Belief because the Bible says that people choose to be that way. Read Romans!"

So it's a belief because something he believes says it is? Try and pin that logic down, I dare you.

Oh, he'll be a featured speaker this year. Count on it.

No logic required with faith.

That's part of what makes Christianity such a successful meme. Hell isn't just to scare people. They also crave vengeance, and the thought of being rewarded in the afterlife really isn't complete without punishment for the "wicked."

Judaism teaches that heaven is for everyone (not just for members only) and that nobody is bad enough for eternal torture.

How exactly is Christianity supposed to be a "loving" improvement?

25 palomino  Wed, Jun 6, 2012 5:50:08pm

I hate to be an elitist snob regionalist, but is it really any surprise that this kid is a bible thumper from rural West Virginia?

He might as well live on another planet from me. We're both Americans, but I'm quite sure I have much more in common with millions of other people in other parts of the developed world than I do with reactionary trash like him.

Conservative Dogma, so simple even a child can spew it!

An effective sales pitch. Sort of like that old TV ad about drugs and your brain on drugs. The eggs sizzle in the pan...
