I read this last week. Interesting stuff.

As much as I want to like this article, the author blames Zionism and the "Israel Lobby" for the anti-Islamic movement. Low.

re: #2 Michael McBacon

Hmm, I didn't read it that way. What I took away were that there are individuals within pro-Israel lobbying groups & right-wing Israeli politics that support this stuff, and that Rosenwald is a bridge to some of them due to her positions on the boards of several influential groups. Is pointing out where financing is coming from wrong if the individuals involved belong to pro-Israel organizations? Would not the same be pointed out if they were right-wing Christian (or other political) organizations or Islamic groups?

The only mention I saw of Zionism was in relation to Wilders using it for his own ends, and as a description of causes Rosenwald's father & grandfather supported (as well as Rosnewald herself). I'm not clear on how that constitutes "blaming Zionism". IMO, there's nothing sinister in Jews supporting Zionism, however what is troubling is her support of some of the extreme individuals (like Spencer, Horowitz, Gaffney, Gabriel, etc.) and/or organizations (like the Clarion Fund) that promote those individuals & their ideas—individuals & ideas we've seen criticized right here at LGF on numerous occasions for good reason.

If I'm missing something, please help me understand what it is.

Fisheries Could Be in Hot Water Due to Climate Change
As our planet warms from excess carbon in the atmosphere, some of that heat is absorbed by the ocean. Fish and invertebrates are responding to warming waters by moving to higher latitudes or deeper waters where the water is cooler, and it was expected that these shifts would eventually affect availability of some commercially harvested species. "Eventually" may be now. Ocean warming has ...

There Is No Such Thing Really as Professional Photographers
there's no such thing as Flickr Pro, because today, with cameras as pervasive as they are, there is no such thing really as professional photographers, when there's everything is professional photographers. Men Are Being Sexually Assaulted in the Military, but Nobody Is Talking About It — the Good Men Project
Our Soldiers are being raped...by our Soldiers. In the U.S. Military, annually, more men are being raped by men than women are being raped by men. I state this fact, articulating it in this manner, not to diminish what these women are enduring but to raise the level of awareness and discourse to fully include the men; they have been dropping through the ...

Obesity is on the rise-- as is the incidence of Heart Disease, Diabetes, Stroke and various forms of Cancer. A groundbreaking scientific study showed how easily (and inexpensively) the rate of occurrence of these and other serious illness could be greatly reduced-- but this information ...
