Yeah but teabaggers will be happy, so there’s that.

So what does the GOP tell these people who will lose their insurance as a result? “Tough shit?” GOP and TP talk alot about “freedom” but it’s always about the freedoms they seem to be against i.e. having health care, the right to choose, etc.

You have their response figured out.

Yeah I know. Hilarious to hear from a bunch of elected officials who have government run health insurance about how “bad” government health care is. I remember hearing about one of the GOP freshmen who ran on an anti health care reform platform asking about his health benefits the minute he got elected.

Well they have private healthcare paid for by the government/public. Which is what everybody in the country, except for the uninsured, has, too. But I guess we aren’t allowed to say that or make an attempt to ensure that the insurance subsidy is universal, or more universal.

The ironic thing, of course, is that many of the people who will continue to be left out if the ACA is thrown out will be the teabaggers themselves and their families. But I guess if they don’t care about that then..

Of course others will suffer along with them for no good reason.

Oh they’ll care about it, they’ll just blame Obama for it rather than the idiots they elect.

The health insurance companies want to continue the policy— hell, they want the law upheld— because they know the system is so broken that stopgap measures like the law are the only thing that will prevent actual single-payer. If the law falls, and the situation continues as it was before the law— especially with denial of pre-existing conditions— the Democrats will get renewed support for single-payer being the only real way out of the mess.
