The calls for people to impeach, tar and feather, and shit on the lawn of Justice Roberts just make me laugh. This on the otherhand, is over the line crap.

What do we expect from Savage who went out of his way to smear autistic kids? Anyhow, funny how Roberts was the model conservative judge but now that he ruled in favor of Obama, he now is hated.

I think they're completely furious because Justice Roberts hasn't acting like he should, ie, bought and paid for.

Good for him.

Sadly, I'm not a bit surprised as it's standard operating procedure. Wingnuts have no compunctions about savaging one of their own if they fail to toe the line.

Pretty sure he's going to remember all this. They're going after his character in a way liberals never did.

I'm sure he will. Harry Blackmun was deeply hurt when he got attacked for siding with Roe in Roe vs Wade.

Personal attacks on the Chief Justice are stupid on so many levels. He's going to be guiding SCOTUS for the next twenty years, and could be the decisive vote on a lot of issues. Not really the man you want to alienate.

It's amazing to me how reluctant losers are to admit they lost over a legit reason/fact/circumstance. These guys are appointed for life, they are all highly skilled and experienced, and their families are allowed to have active lives that need not incur recusals over every salary $ or speech made.

I have more faith in SCOTUS than the critics. They can screw up. But it's not money, it's not politics. It's an honest attempt to sort out some of the most challenging legal issues the nation ever faces.
politicians. especially elected ones.

I get it we see dark motives when our side loses some issue. Me too. But then I take a second and relax just a little. Reality says win some lose some.

Exactly. If they keep this up and ostracize Roberts he may flip or at a minimum become a consistent swing vote replacing Kennedy who went full metal wingnut on ObamaCare.

Why Kerry Wants to Strike Syrias Airfields - Bloomberg
Yesterday, shortly after I posted a column on Secretary of State John Kerry's push to have the White House approve U.S. strikes on Syrian airfields -- and how Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Martin Dempsey pushed back strongly against the idea -- I heard from a number of people who support Kerry's stance and think that the Pentagon is being unnecessarily timid. 2. For ...

The GOP’s Steve King Problem
Earlier this year, the Republican National Committee released a 100-page report detailing how the GOP needed to retrofit its agenda and soften its tone. But if Republican officials had wanted to save time, they could have issued a shorthand summary that read: Be less like Steve King. The Iowa congressman's outspoken conservatism embodies the kind of politics that, in the RNC's own words, alienates ...

Jack Shafer: Snowden vs the Dragons
Reuters: But even the press in aggregate is not a friend to whistle-blowers, as its recent treatment of Snowden attests, what with the deep dives into his teen years (including photos), his education and employment history, his reputation as a loner and a “brainiac,” his pants-down hijinks, his online scribblings, his dancer girlfriend, his predilection for (in his own words) “post-coital Krispy Kremes.” Squeezing ...
