Funny how Jindal has time to use taxpayer money for private schools but this is an attack on our freedoms. Jindal's full of crap.

‘It really raises the question of what’s next, what’s allowable,’ Jindal said on a Republican National Committee Conference Call. ‘Taxes on people who refuse to eat tofu or refuse to drive a Chevy Volt…this whole ruling I think is ridiculous. It’s a huge expansion of federal power.’

Why, yes, it is just exactly like a tax on people who refuse to eat tofu or drive Chevy Volts. Exactly like that. In fact I think Obamacare specifically taxes those behaviors. ///////

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, one of Mitt Romney’s possible running mates, said that despite Thursday’s decision by the Supreme Court to uphold the Voting Rights Act Affordable Care Act, he will not implement it in his state.

Jindal called the Voting Rights Act Affordable Care Act a ‘blow to our freedoms’ and said the ‘president forced this law on us.’

All these people can go fuck themselves. And it's "Romneycare" Mr. Romney and Mr. Jindal.
And where the hell are all our Democratic leaders? I know the names of many Republican leaders across the country as crazy as they ALL are.

Get out there Democrats! dont be scared of these wusses.

You know I hope these rightwing governors do reject and refuse to implement ObamaCare. These states have huge low income uninsured populations and if these asshole want to deny them the chance to have access to health care they desperately need it might make them get out and vote against Republicans. People think the poor in red states vote against their best interests, but most don't vote at all. Maybe this could change that.

Virginia Gov. McDonnell was also on the call and said he would evaluate it, but his ‘hope is in 125 days or so we elect a new president and the Senate along with the House of Representatives will have the votes to repeal this mandate and replace it with a common sense free market, pro-federalism approach to health care.’

Why do these people go on and on about common senses when they have no sense, common or otherwise?

How can the market in health care be free when it's pretty much controlled by a small number of companies who, to all intents and purposes, collude with one another?

And finally, since when did these loons give a shit about federalism?

Gallup: Fewer Economic Conservatives in U.S. - the Hill’s on the Money
eople in the U.S. are growing less likely to call themselves economically conservative, according to new data from Gallup. In all, roughly four in 10 now say they're economic conservatives, down from 51 percent in 2010 - a high water mark for the Tea Party movement. That drop, Gallup found, has coincided with slight increases in people calling themselves economic moderates and liberals. ...

The Deficit Is Shrinking! (And Nobody Cares)
On May 14, as Washington officialdom was transfixed by the IRS scandal, the Congressional Budget Office announced that the budget deficit will shrink this fiscal year to $642 billion, or just 4 percent of gross domestic product. It's the smallest deficit since 2008, and less than half 2009's record $1.4 trillion shortfall. Since February, the CBO has cut $200 billion off its deficit ...

Rapes in Brazil Spur Class and Gender Debate
RIO DE JANEIRO -- The attacks have stunned this city. In one, an assailant held a gun to the head of a 30-year-old woman while raping her in front of passengers on a bus as the driver proceeded down a main avenue. In another, a 14-year-old girl from a hillside slum was raped on one of Rio's most famous stretches of beach. In ...

An Interplanetary GPS Using Pulsar Signals
Spacecraft could determine their position anywhere in the solar system to within five kilometres using signals from x-ray pulsars, say astronomers. Navigating in space is a tricky business. The usual method relies on Earth-based tracking stations to work out a spacecraft's distance using radio waves, a process that is accurate to within a metre or so. That's fine for the radial distance, but ...

4 Reasons ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’ Is Secretly About Drugs
Nice, right? Anyway, here's my thesis: Raiders of the Lost Ark is not an action-adventure movie about an archaeologist who plays by his own rules and saves the day. Instead, the film is an exploration of Marion Ravenwood's crippling drug addiction. An addiction that was born from her unhealthy relationship and continued association with Indiana Jones. Is it true? Who cares. Can I prove ...

There Is No Such Thing Really as Professional Photographers
there's no such thing as Flickr Pro, because today, with cameras as pervasive as they are, there is no such thing really as professional photographers, when there's everything is professional photographers. Certainly there is varying levels of skills, but we didn't want to have a Flickr Pro anymore, we wanted everyone to have professional quality photos, space, and sharing." - Marissa Mayer, Yahoo ...

WAPO’s Glenn Kessler Gives Three “Pinocchios” To Claim of Doctored Emails
It has long been part of the Washington game for officials to discredit a news story by playing up errors in a relatively small part of it. Pfeiffer gives the impression that GOP operatives deliberately tried to "smear the president" with false, doctored e-mails. But the reporters involved have indicated they were told by their sources that these were summaries, taken from notes ...

We know how to reduce the incidence of common medical conditions but …
Obesity is on the rise-- as is the incidence of Heart Disease, Diabetes, Stroke and various forms of Cancer. And, shockingly, diseases that had in the past begun in old age are now appearing at much earlier ages. A groundbreaking scientific study showed how easily (and inexpensively) the rate of occurrence of these and other serious illness could be greatly reduced-- but this information ...
