The underlying problem is simple:

The Middle East narrative demands there be a single victim and a single perpetrator.

There is no room for multiple victims because that is perceived as 'weakening' the cause of one side or the other.

This kind of thinking extends further. Rather than demand solutions and compromise for a political problem, the conflict is defined in religious terms.

"God gave this land to the Jews. We must protect our inheritance and not cede a single inch" or "We cannot tolerate Jews having a sovereign state or Allah's promise of dominion over them will not come to pass. It is our duty to liberate the land from their possession by every means possible."

Jews have succeeded in the region, the Arabs have not.

Thus, the Arabs are more sympathetic. Acknowledging Jewish refugees in addition to Arab refugees complicates the narrative- and who wants that, right?

Another rip at CAMERA? Is there an article that meets the Bob Levin standard? A bit more veiled than the usual criticism you throw at CAMERA but still a dig. Reporting on the world-wide unacknowledged Jewish refugees from the Arab world. Jews helping other Jews in need is not the acknowledgement you suggest, it is a Jews helping Jews when the world again turned its back on them. I am trying not to be rude here, but you may need a new hobby other than criticizing every CAMERA article that gets posted a few places up thread.

When it comes to the Middle East, Hell is pleased.

When it comes to the Middle East, Hell is pleased.

When it comes to most of the Earth, Hell is pleased.

It's a clever piece, but it's also pointless. Half the damn planet is in a cycle of violence that can be traced back to human fear, malice or incompetence. The idea that the Middle East, meaning the Israel/Palestinian conflict, is special enough to be uniquely noted by the Devil, is a silly conceit that many Westerners buy into for our own reasons.

Satan's got a masterpiece going in the Congo. Some tiny, creeping war with a low body count is the last thing on his mind. It can be handled by a couple of temps.
