Gunman fires into downtown bar in Ala. university town; 17 people sent to hospital

A gunman who opened fire outside a crowded bar has wounded 17 people in Tuscaloosa, the home of the University of Alabama.

Tuscaloosa Police Chief Steve Anderson told The Associated Press that the gunman fired first through a window, then shot at people outside as they fled the bar. He said the gunman never went inside during the assault early Tuesday.

Police were still searching for a suspect and released surveillance video of a man they called the suspect..

I guess this is the sort of think the Founding Fathers intended when muskets were the high tech weapon of the day. I have to say to the original interpretation right wingers on the constitution. I am all for your ideology that we need to interpret the constitution as it was when written. So that would mean unlimited hand loaded powdered musket gun ownership but not modern firearms, right?
