Wingnuts believe Snopes has a liberal agenda. They will ignore this.

Gawd. I'm going to bookmark the Snopes, because this is bound to start showing up in my in-box any minute now.

It's no secret, probably, that I am unconvinced that Obama is the right man for the job for the next 4 years. I'm not sure about Romney, either, and thinking of just writing in my name (well, except I can't figure out how to do a write-in on an electronic voting machine).

Anyhow - that said - we are all in this together. We may differ in opinion on what's the best way to get there, but every citizen I've ever met, and that's a lot of people, wants what is best for this country. Nobody hates the US or those who have served us, and this sort of thing is just STUPID.

SORT OF RELATED: I set up a group attached to my FB account for political discussion, so I wouldn't have that going on in my main FB page. I had one rule: No one may personally insult anybody else. Everyone in the group is a valued friend of mine; and I was not going to tolerate them insulting each other. Lasted less than a day before the personal insults were flying and I had to delete the page. Major kudos to anyone who runs a well-moderated blog *cough* Charles *cough*. It's virtually impossible to do and do well.

Btw: I don't have any doubts that President Obama will travel there on 6/6/2014 to commemorate the 70th anniversary.

I am with you on the Romney vs Obama. What you said is reasonable. But with Romney you get the crazy GOP alongside him. That is why we are better with an Obama as problematic as his presidency has been and his Democrats than Romeny and his whacky GOP. This is not the GOP of old.
