Getting some coat tails?

re: #1 Bob Levin

I think more Americans are becoming aware of Romney's habitual lying, his refusal to release more of his tax records, his lack of transparency, his unwarranted attacks on the president at every turn, his offshore accounts that he left out of his 2011 tax returns, his desire to invade Iran, his yielding to any RW group/person who challenges him, and his willingness to use racist dog whistles to paint President Obama as un-American. I don't think it helps him that Grover Norquist, whose tax pledge he signed, is in the news so much recently. Plus, Michele Bachmann and her unfounded charges that the Muslim Brotherhood has infiltrated the U.S. government isn't making the republicans look like the sanest politicians in Congress.

I think it's finally showing up in the polls. The awareness has been there for quite some time. I can't explain why the polls haven't been catching it. I suspect it might be because nearly 100% of Americans are sick of the election process (this is what democracy has turned into?), and everyone associated with it. There was a time when folks liked being interviewed by pollsters. Not no more.

"Sir, can I ask you a few questions?"

"Dude, follow me on Twitter. I don't have time."

re: #4 pdub

Maji you be crazy!

The US is a capitalistic society. Romney is a capitalist. Obama has no experience whatsoever in the free market; None, Zippo, Nada. He has done nothing to improve the economy at all. Things are just as bad now as they were when he took office. Time for something different.

Huma's Mother, Father and Brother are all involved in the Muslim Brotherhood; that in itself warrants some scrutiny.

Romney's tax returns are nobody's business. If there was a problem, the IRS would certainly take care of it. 36% of Obama's executive staff owes back taxes.
What about them?

I'm going to ignore the other gibberish, but do you really think that a person who has worked for a US Senator turned Secretary of State hasn't been scrutinized? You really think this woman hasn't gone through numerous security and background checks? If you don't realize that she most certainly has then you are as dumb as that other bullshit you wrote.

I think the Muslim Brotherhood put it much better: what makes you, pdub, think that the MB has penetrated the US Government when they still can't enter the Egyptian Government?

It's simply stupid.

Huma is married to a pro-Israeli Jew. If she's undercover Muslim Brotherhood she is taking "undercover" to a whole new level. Talk about sleeper agent.

I thought pdub was a parody? As such he is pretty funny! Especially about The Infiltration of The Government By The Muslim Brotherhood.

Oh please.

Along those lines, "undercover agent," lol.

The GOP Dilemma Over the Voting Rights Act
It's particularly heavy baggage for Republicans. While Democrats and civil rights groups stand largely united behind the broadest interpretations of the Voting Rights Act, for Republicans it's a trickier matter. On one hand, they are eager to reach out to minority voters. They eagerly tout their charismatic, high-profile minority officeholders like Sens. Tim Scott or South Carolina and Ted Cruz of Texas, Nikki Haley ...

Jack Shafer: Snowden vs the Dragons
Reuters: But even the press in aggregate is not a friend to whistle-blowers, as its recent treatment of Snowden attests, what with the deep dives into his teen years (including photos), his education and employment history, his reputation as a loner and a “brainiac,” his pants-down hijinks, his online scribblings, his dancer girlfriend, his predilection for (in his own words) “post-coital Krispy Kremes.” Squeezing ...
