While I have no doubt that the "heart disease" that plagues so many Americans is preventable via dietary changes, it is clear now that genetic differences are very important.

And, it is also clear from anthropology and archeology that the inclusion of increasing amounts of meat in the human diet correlates with the increase in brain size.

Switch to eating a Mediterranean type diet and you will get all the good kind of fat and good kind of meat you need to satisfy the carnivore in you.

Also, the theory I like best is that humans became more aquatic and ate sea food like shell fish, etc and that increased brain size which allowed evolving humans to hunt larger land based prey.

Well, as any good statistician can tell you:

Correlation does not imply causation

Increases in our brain size is related to the amount of stupid human meat in the Pleistocence predators' diets.

Well, as I mentioned:

Correlation does not necessarily imply causation

.
However, even if it is true that eating more meat causes an increase in brain size, (or at least did many years go (?)-- I'm not sure how that's related here. If, in fact, that did occur way back in the Pleistocene era-- how is that related to the fact that in modern man-- there is (or appears to be) strong evidence that eating large quantities of meat leads to a significant increase in the rate of serious disease?
