In all fairness, that was Ha'aratz. I would be shocked if they did not take offense.

On the other end of the spectrum, Ynet wrote this [Link: www.ynetnews.com...]

A senior Palestinian official said Monday that Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney's assertion that Jerusalem is Israel's capital is "absolutely unacceptable."

And here is where Ha'aretz fits into the big (small) picture of Israeli papers.

It's closer to the Labor Party's paper. But it's a good paper--good enough to be a lot more than just a party rag. However, they never get too far from the Labor Party. And I think, to a person, no one on the staff is unhappy that Israel is no longer considered an emerging economy, and is now considered a developed economy.

It's not a bad paper, as papers go. In this case, however, I think they overestimate Netanyahu's (and Israel's) importance to Mitt Romney.

Romney is talking to his voting base. If he is parroting things Netanyahu tells him, it is only because he expects those lines to sell well at home.

Mitt's a conservative? And when are facts considered attacks? Oh, yea when directed at conservatives.

I did get a chuckle out of the fact Mitt needs 2 TelePrompTers since Republicans went loco over them when Obama was elected.
